Similar to thread count in cotton sheeting, momme is the unit of measurement used to describe the weight and density of silk. The higher the momme, the denser and more durable the silk. Our 22-momme mulberry silk is the perfect weight, ensuring an exceptional blend of smoothness, softness, lustre and longevity.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is a label for textiles tested for harmful substances. It sets the benchmark for textile safety ensuring products support ecological safety and only non-toxic substances are used. Unfortunately some brands use toxic dyes in their fabrics which when coming into contact with skin can cause allergic reactions. Our silk is fully certified standard 100 by Oeko-Tex meaning it has been tested from raw silk to finished product and only non-toxic dyes have been used to colour our silk. This teamed with the naturally hypoallergenic properties of silk make it the perfect material for even the most sensitive skin.

Silk is graded by characteristics like colour, purity and thread durability. Grade A silk represents the pinnacle of quality, distinguished by long radiant strands of pearl white, free from any impurities. We use the finest grade 6A mulberry silk for every single product in our collection so you can be assured you are receiving the most opulent silk possible.

The wrap around Velcro fastening on our masks means they are fully adjustable for all head sizes. There’s no danger or it being too loose or too tight, simply fasten to where it feels comfortable and snug to your head/face and relax into a restorative slumber.

Shipping is free on all orders over £40 in the UK and Ireland. If your order is under £40 the delivery fee will be calculated based on the size of your order at checkout.

We dispatch international orders with Royal Mail International. Once Royal Mail deliver the product to your country your own domestic postal service takes over, we advise customers with concerns to check their local postal services terms and conditions before ordering.

Orders shipped in the UK take 3 – 5 working days. International orders normally take 7 – 10 working days but may be slightly longer depending on the region.

Making sure you are 100 % happy with your Silk Addict products is our number one priority, so if for any reason you need to make a return you can do so within 30 days from receiving your order.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.

Silk is often thought of as hand-wash or dry-clean only, but thanks to the premium quality, our silk can be machine washed with the right care. Be sure to use a pH-neutral liquid detergent and skip the fabric softeners and bleach. If you can’t find a detergent that specifies pH, use one designed for
silk.

Water temperature is key, so make sure it stays below 30°C (85°F) to protect the fabric. If your machine doesn’t have specific heat settings, just use cold or a cycle slightly above cold. We also recommend using a delicates bag if your machine tends to snag, and for the longest-lasting results, hand washing is always the best option.

Just remember, if you take good care of your silk it will take good care of you, the gentler the wash the longer you will retain the shine and smoothness which allows for those wonderful beauty benefits. When it comes to drying, always air dry—never tumble dry.
